Welcome To The New Jersey Ride Against AIDS!

We hope that you got a sense of what is possible for yourself and your life by doing the Ride. Now let's talk about what you agreed to.

The NJ Ride Against Aids is a 250-mile bicycle journey from High Point State Park to Cape May. The route literally covers the entire length of the state, from the northwest corner to the southeast tip. Along the way, you'll pass by hundreds of communities; you'll be seeing some amazing panoramic vistas, rolling farmland, quiet sleepy towns, the Pine Barrens, cranberry bogs, and the majestic Atlantic Ocean.

This year's Ride is small and intimate in nature. Approximately 50 Riders and 100 Crewmembers will be participating.

The Ride occurs over a 3-day weekend on September 28 - 30, 2007, from early morning Friday to Sunday afternoon . We'll provide the food, hot showers, nightly entertainment, and a warm place to sleep. You provide the bike and the heart.

By doing the Ride, you agree to raise a minimum of $1500. Take a deep breath. It's a lot easier to do than you think. Most of your sponsors can use corporate matching contributions to double the contribution amount. We'll assign you a Coach who'll help guide you in your training and your fundraising efforts. We can even provide speakers to help you at fundraising parties that you create. You might even find it fun, since it gives you the opportunity to share what you are up to with your friends and family. It's a really great feeling to see people light up when they hear about the Ride.

The money you raise goes to local AIDS charities. Just as importantly, 100% of the pledge donations raised by riders and crew will go directly to the charities. Community and corporate sponsorships will fund the event. This is a unique and powerful difference which separates this Ride from other events.

You will be expected to comply with the State of New Jersey Bicycling Laws. Please be sure to review this information!

Each night, we'll be staying in hotels along the ride route. One of the unique things about these Rides is the camaraderie that develops between people. The small size of this Ride allows for a unique intimacy, that we feel will be enhanced by the communal sleeping arrangements. This isn't a cushy ride, but we think you'll be satisfied.
